Mets and Braves Potential Deal? - Pro Sports Fandom
With just three days to go until the MLB Trade Deadline, teams will be looking to make trades. The New York Mets will most likely be sellers and the Atlanta Braves will most likely be buyers. New York and Atlanta both play in the National League East. The Braves currently have a 62-43 record and they sit in first place in the division. The Mets record so far this season is 49-55. They are 12.5 games back of first place in the division, but New York is only six games back of the second wild card spot in the National League. The New York Mets are looking to trade some players including starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard and closer Edwin Diaz. Diaz was acquired in a trade last offseason from the Seattle Mariners. That trade that also brought second baseman Robinson Cano along from Seattle blew up in General Manager Brodie Van Wagenen’s face. I don’t think New York would do business with the Braves considering the fact they both play in the same division, but the Braves have one of the best farm systems in baseball.
