The Los Angeles Lakers were destinated to be a playoff team this season when they signed Lebron James and a few other players this offseason. They lost another game on the road this afternoon to the Philadelphia 76ers 143-120. Los Angeles currently sits in 10th place in the Western Conference. They are two games back of the Sacramento Kings for the ninth spot in the west and they are 2.5 games back of the Los Angeles Clippers for the eighth spot in the west. The Lakers record so far this season is 28-28. They will have one more game before the All-Star Break on the road against the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night. They will just have 25 games remaining in the regular season after the All-Star Break. The first game after the break will be on Thursday, February 21 against the Houston Rockets at home. Fifteen of the remaining 26 games for the Los Angeles Lakers will be against teams that would be in the postseason if the season ended right now.
