Josh Gordon Traded to New England - Pro Sports Fandom
Wide receiver Josh Gordon has had many off the field issues throughout his NFL career and the Cleveland Browns have claimed it has been enough. Gordon showed up to the Browns facility on Saturday morning with supposedly a hamstring injury, the Browns decided to make him inactive for a game on Sunday on the road against the New Orleans Saints. Because of it, the Browns traded Josh Gordon to the New England Patriots for a conditional fifth-round pick. If Gordon is not active for 10 games, the Patriots will also receiver a seventh-round pick in return. He has also only caught one pass for 17 yards receiving and one touchdown so far this season. Josh Gordon is 27 years old and he will be a restricted free agent at the end of the season. To no surprise, the New England Patriots are taking another risk. As of right now, Gordon will be the number one receiving option for Tom Brady for at least the next two weeks. Wide receiver Julian Edelman is still suspended for the next two games and he is eligible to return for a Thursday night Week 5 game at home against the Indianapolis Colts. Chris Hogan [...]
