WSJ: Apple Watch Rollout Butchered by Faulty Taptic Engine
Customers have been concerned about the somewhat shaky Apple Watch launch. Within minutes of pre-orders, shipping dates slipped from 4/24-5/8 to June. On Wednesday, the Wall Street Journal reports that the Watches limited availability is due to faulty taptic engines. They note that mass production began in February, but quality test found some of them unreliable.
