Goal Summary for February 2019 | Periodically Creative
I did most of my goals for February, but fell a bit short on my arms challenge. Books I finished a series I had been reading with Splendor by Anna Godbersen. Like the others, it was a quick, entertaining read about turn of the century socialites in New York City. After that I started Perfect is Boring by Tyra Banks. I always loved her in America’s Next Top Model days and thoroughly enjoyed her real talk book she wrote with her mama. Funny, quirky, and uplifting make for a quick read by the supermodel that will have you smizing. Explore We had a wedding in Hampton in the middle of the month. We got there early so we found a nearby brewery. What else would two millennials do to kill time? Bull Island Brewing Company is on the waterfront and a fantastic location to drink some suds. Their Hoppy King Street Kolsch was light and super drinkable, while the Dare Double Stout was dark, roasty and delicious. Mr. PC’s IPA and pils were reminiscent of summer and perfect for drinking on the water. Did I mention it was almost 70° in February? We went to Byrd Park to meet some friends one Sunday. It ended up being pretty chili and Gimli got himself covered in mud. But the trails near the dog park seemed worth exploring (when the ground isn’t a mushy disaster like it was for most of the month). Craft I crocheted another project with a different Caron Cake than I used in January. This was intended to be a baby blanket, but I don’t think its big enough. I might rip out a few rounds, crochet a backing in gray, and make this a throw pillow. I love the moss stitch in the round and how it worked up with the large blocks of color. Fitness Guys I tried. February has been a rough month of dog, people, and car surgeries. Oh and I got sick in the middle of all that. In the stream of one issue after another, the arms challenge did not get done. The first 2 weeks of the month were good, and then it just fell apart. That’s life, and there’s always next month. In March I want to meet my daily step goal of 10,000 on every week day.
