Excerpt from When We Were Sisters
A change from the thrillers I have been reading lately to a contemporary story of two grown foster sisters revisiting their past. Emilie Richards' When We Were Sisters is a deep, sensitive look at family and what they can mean to each other. Obviously, this one is right in my wheelhouse. The foster care system often plays a part in my YA books.
