Excerpt from The Quiche of Death
I have read several of M.C. Beaton's Agatha Raisin series, but I have not read the first one. And here it is, The Quiche of Death. Agatha retires from her advertising agency and moved to the Cottswalds, fulfilling a childhood dream. Only she finds out she doesn't like it that much, or the people there don't like her that much, and she decides to make a splash by winning a cooking prize at the county fair. But she can't cook. And that's just the beginning.
