Neel Jadeja was born in London in 1975 and came to America a few years later. He became involved in the music/entertainment/media business early on and has been doing so for over 20 years. Along the way, Neel and his band 'Sunny Ledfurd' dominated the metro Charlotte music scene before ultimately signing with MCA Records, a subsidiary of Unversal Music Group. After the time at Universal, Neel started MeckDeck Productions in Charlotte, focusing on music promotion. Using his expertise in the Charlotte music/media community, MeckDeck held fundraisers such as Benefit for the Bayou. In May of 2010, Neel was diagnosed with Type One Diabetes, changing the course of his life forever. Since then, Neel's passion and energies have been directed at working with the GWC Chapter of the JDRF, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in Charlotte, NC. He has a very large role in community outreach and advocacy, along with serving as ACT1 Group so-chair and Entertainment/Media chair for the Walk to Cure Diabetes. Neel is a mission-driven, experienced JDRF Greater Western Carolinas Chapter development and outreach advocate/volunteer and media/marketing strategist with over 3 years of hands-on experience within the chapter serving leadership roles on event logistical committees, such as Charlotte Walk to Cure Diabetes, Kickoff Luncheons and Hope Gala. Also served the GWC Chapter as a developer of social and media assets in the city of Charlotte, bringing the best practices to the organization to increase engagement, fundraising, outreach and chapter development.
