San Francisco by Matt Johnson on Exposure
Recently, I visited San Francisco, Calif. for a business conference. Since it was my first time in SF, I made sure to get out and see some of the city in my short time there. I stayed at the St. Francis hotel at Union Square. The hotel is incredibly ornate and well worth a walk-by if you aren’t staying there. I hopped on a Powell and Hyde cable car and rode to Fisherman’s Wharf. (Here’s a tip for visitors: Don’t board the cable car at the turntables as there are long queues. Simply walk a block or two and get on at the next stop. Much less waiting.) Riding the cable car is a lot of fun. It’s an incredible method of transportation and the complexity and simplicity of the system boggles my mind.
