Markets for Change by marketsforchange on Exposure
UNDP, through the Markets for Change project, aims to strengthen economic security, rights and livelihoods of market vendors and vendor-producers. It is done through assisting them for improved agricultural productivity, better financial literacy, improved market and farm business competencies and access to financial services. Two training programs have been developed for this purpose and provided to market vendor-farmers: Increasing Agricultural Productivity and Income of Vendor-Farmers (IPI-VF), and the Continuing Market Business Education (CMBE) in partnership with Westpac Banking Corporation, the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs and the Ministry of Agriculture. The trainings have been conducted at 12 municipal markets and communities.
