Living a Life of Purpose: An Interview with Michelle Singletary
Last month, at an event hosted by the American Enterprise Institute, Washington Post columnist and financial adviser Michelle Singletary was one of three panelists to respond to our new report, Black Men Making It In America. During the panel discussion, Michelle, who grew up with four siblings in Baltimore in a low-income family headed by her grandmother, shared some of her personal success story. I invited Michelle to share more of that story with IFS, and what follows is an extraordinary testimony to the powerful role that family, faith, and hard work play in helping both women and men from at-risk communities overcome incredible obstacles to achieve their dreams.
