My 26th Birthday - Grave and Vanity
I used to have this weird thing with birthdays where the build up and anticipation would always somehow lead to disappointment and emptiness- I guess in my head I set unreal expectations, even though it’s just a regular day out of the year. I also had an extreme fear of getting older and for those reasons I really hated celebrating my birthday until recently. Overall, I felt confused and displaced in my early 20’s. This year, I’ve genuinely never felt more gratitude for the people in my life and I’m in the happiest place that I’ve ever been. Positivity and self love have made me appreciate all of life’s opportunities and blessings, and having a strong support group is truly invaluable. I had 20 of my closest friends and family at my birthday and I feel blessed for these amazing people in my life. OKAY back to the point of this post. I wanted to share with you the hotel that I stayed in and the restaurant that hosted my brunch because it was interior goals AF.
