5 stars to My Prison Without Bars by Taylor Fulks. This is not easy reading–it is a tragic story of abuse. BUT–this sort of things happens everyday in every nation–sadly few speak up when they see the tell tale signs–sometimes because they don’t really recognise them, sometimes because they are not certain–sometimes because they feel it isn’t any of their business. How tragic that a helpless child is left at the mercy of a monster.
It was heart-shattering to read what Taylor Fulks childhood was like. I wanted to commit murder as I read the book--people like the man she knew as her father do not deserve to live in my opinion--and I am not a violent person. Then to see how the results...
