Contemporary Keyboarding: Basics 1 - EA School of Music
Authored by Per Danielsson Welcome to Contemporary Keyboarding: Basics 1. This class takes students through the evolution of the classical-era piano and into the modern synthesizer. Students will learn the history of the instrument, explore and play different types of music, and learn about notable players. Throughout this semester students will focus on reading music, developing proper technique, understanding and applying music theory concepts, as well as how to improvise and even compose original music. Students can expect to encounter a variety of listening and playing assignments, as well as lesson quizzes and exams. By the end of the course, students will have a portfolio of recordings that reflect the progress they made and will be ready for the next semester!
