2019 Grad Ball A Chance to Celebrate with Family and Friends
2019 RMC Grad Presented by CANEX/SISIP a Huge Success Article Courtesy of Ryan Thompson, PSP Coordinator Photos by PSP and 25366 Anna-Michelle Shewfelt The 2019 version of the Graduation Ball was truly a memorable night for the 1,000+ people in attendance. The Grad Ball is a very fitting end to the journey at RMC as it allows the class of 2019 to celebrate and share their experiences with those who supported them along the way. For the second year in a row CANEX/SISIP was the Presenting Partner of the event. Their presence at RMC has grown immensely over this past year, which only helps to better serve the O/NCdts at RMC. CANEX/SISIP HQ personnel, along with local managers and supervisors, surprised all the 4th years during a parade practice this past week with a special token of their appreciation. Each graduating O/NCdt received a duffle bag and RMC hat which was very well received by all. To further enhance the Grad Ball the PSP operations cell created a sponsorship program specific to this event and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our sponsors for their tremendous support. Our Bronze Sponsors were Labatt Brewing Co. Ltd and The Goodway Thrift Store / Brown’s Fine Food Inc.. Our supporting sponsors were Coca-Cola Canada Bottling Ltd. and Pizza Pizza (Hwy 15 Location). Lastly, we would like to thank the RMC Unit Fund for being a continued partner of the RMC Grad Ball. The class of 2019, their families, friends and all other participants of the 2019 RMC Graduation Ball thank you, the sponsors, for making this event one of the best ever. Events of this magnitude do not happen overnight and take months of planning to flawlessly put together. Each year a graduation committee is formed. This year the OPI was OCdt Thomas Boulter who was assisted by the Assistant Mess Manager, Lori Alves McPhail and 8 Sqn Commander Lt(N) Carolyn Pumphrey. The rest of the committee are as follows; OCdt Landrey Bickel, 2IC, OCdt Claista Weir and OCdt Samuel Kim, Decoration and advertisement, OCdt Étienne Boucher, Setup and teardown IC and OCdt Evan Walter, Entertainment IC. The effort that each of them put in was outstanding as they showed a real interest to ensure the 2019 Grad Ball was enjoyed by all. Based on all the smiling faces around the room, I think they out performed expectations. The PSP Operations cell, including messes (SSM, Chez Brucie, CM), would like to congratulate the class of 2019 and wish them nothing but continued success in their careers. More photos from the Ball:
