Scottish Folk magic and the dead (part three)–folk charms, herbs for the dead and second sight
In this last part we explore operational techniques and folk charms calling on the dead to heal, protect, hinder, curse as a familiar and emissary. Different folk magic practices are discussed from Scottish, Roman, Norse and in a lesser extent Greek and Russia. These curated examples illustrate the survival of the dead as they relate to different practices in Scottish folk magic.
