LiveNote is an interactive performance guide for mobile devices delivering complementary commentary and images to audiences in real-time. Created by The Philadelphia Orchestra and Drexel University, LiveNote allows audience members to view program notes, translations and images during the concert. The program has been used for four seasons in Philadelphia and offers valuable information for new audiences and seasoned patrons alike. Audiences can access LiveNote via the free DSO mobile app – available to download in the App Store and Google Play. LiveNote is available exclusively through apps powered by InstantEncore and Tessitura Network Mobile Plus™. “LiveNote is a great example of ways the DSO is utilizing technology to enhance the concert experience, which is key component of our strategic plan,” said Kim Noltemy, DSO President & CEO. “This program is a great tool and engages audiences who have varying degrees of knowledge of classical music.” “We are extremely excited to be working with the Dallas Symphony as they introduce their audiences to the LiveNote experience,” said Chris Montgomery, CEO of InstantEncore. “Using mobile technology in subtle but engaging ways opens up new levels of enjoyment and learning for audiences. We couldn’t be happier to have the DSO as a partner.” To use LiveNote, patrons download the DSO app from their platform’s app store. LiveNote content is available in the app before the concert for patrons who wish to read in advance.
