23rd International Music Competition "Venice" Grand Prize Virtuoso
Our competition wants to encourage more young musicians to perform and grow. We believe that our competition can offer many benefits to our participants, and help to build their confidence and realize their dreams, with a new classical music competition format. Our purpose is to discover artists of outstanding personality and provide awards which can help to launch international careers. A selected group of winners will receive an invitation to debut at the Sale Apollinee, La Fenice considered one of the most famous and renowned opera house in the world on September 17, 2019. On Christmas Eve of 1882, to celebrate the birthday of his wife Cosima, Richard Wagner conducted a private concert in the Apollinee Sale of the Fenice. Liszt was present, and at the request of Wagner, he played a Rossini's aria at the piano. The aim of "Promo Concert & Special Prizes" is to find performers with a strong artistic personality and stage presence. The emphasis is therefore not on the purely technical aspect of the performance, but also on the artistic charisma of the performer.
