BIRDMAN | AndersonVision
“Birdman" opens on Michael Keaton just wanting to not be in a room that smells like balls. From there, we get levitation and a former prominent superhero trying to convince him to return mainstream filmmaking. More than anything, it's a film about failed people trying to create something relevant in the world. Emma Stone's character realizes that no matter what she does, she's just a dash in the grand human experience. Keaton's character tries to fight it, but everyone in his life keeps trying to bring him down.
