Healthy Skin for the Holidays with Neutrogena® | Always Creating Blog™
This post is sponsored by Neutrogena // All opinions are mine. Before we get into my look and all the products I used, I wanted to share my first impression of the products that Neutrogena gifted me. This winter I’ve been drawn to the dark, moody, bold yet neutral and sexy colors so immediately I fell in love with the color palette (and coincidentally, the lip color matched my nail polish perfectly!); from the packaging to the shades, I was in love! Okay, let’s get into the post, loves! Neutrogena Healthy Skin® Liquid Makeup provides luminous, natural-looking. The formula contains an exclusive blend of antioxidants including Vitamin E, Natural Soy and Feverfew Extract along with Broad Spectrum SPF 20 to visibly improve luminosity, tone and texture over time for healthier looking skin – making Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup better for your skin than wearing no makeup at all. Available in 14 shades. I have been a long-time user of Neutrogena makeup, and so to get the opportunity to create celebrity inspired makeup look for their Healthy Skin for the Holidays campaign is truly a dream come true. I wanted to recreate the Kerry Washington celebrity look because of her bold lip and eye makeup, after all the best holiday glam look starts with Neutrogena healthy skin! The Products. The packaging is so beautiful and I couldn’t stop taking photos… Like so many women I’ve been a fan of Neutrogena for years. From their skincare products to their makeup, I’ve used at least one or more their products over the years. {As some of you already know, I received their anti-wrinkle cream recently that I love using day and night.} For those of you that watched my Insta LIVE video, you already know the inspiration behind the look and you got to see me get read/apply the makeup. So if you didn’t get to see it (sorry, I didn’t save the vid), the inspiration for my look is the Kerry Washington look at the NAACP Awards. I had originally picked the darker, bold lips and eyes look, but I got the second look, which is still beautiful, so I gave it a try! I loved how it turned out. {My husband loved it a lot, he said he loved the lip color, which I was surprised by…I only tend to wear darker shades of pinks, plum, etc.} Here are my thoughts on the products: Love the liquid foundation, super smooth and gives a full coverage The eyeshadow palette was super pigmented and so just a little goes a long way Mascara was amazing. The wand brush was too big, so it was hard to use without messing up my eye makeup The lip color is so moisturizing and soft and it’s more of a semi long wear look, which is great! I loved the concealer, rarely do I find one that offers such great coverage, so loved it The face primer is good, must try! Clean Foundation. A clean foundation will give you the best results when it comes to makeup, so I started with a clean face followed by the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Primer (with sunscreen, SPF 15). The healthy skin primer evens the look of skin for 8 hours with or without makeup, it also extends the look of makeup. It has a light silky feel that helps. Here are all the products I used: Healthy Skin Primer Broad Spectrum SPF 15; $13.99 Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 20; $14.59 | SHADE: Cocoa (115) Neutrogena® Hydro Boost Hydrating Concealer; $14.99 MoistureSmooth Color Stick; $8.99 | SHADE: Almond Nude (110) Nourishing Long Wear Eye Shadow + Built-in Primer; $9.99 | SHADE: Cool Plum (10) | SHADE: Vibrant (20) Healthy Volume® Mascara; $8.99 | SHADE: Carbon Black (01) Neutrogena® Hydro Boost Hydrating Concealer; $14.99 | SHADE: Deep (50) Visit to see additional holiday + New Year looks.
