Hidden Gem: Katsute 100 in Islington, London | UrbanTravelGuide
Newly opened o-chaya (tea house) Katsute 100 in Islington, at the Camden Passage on Islington High Street just north of Angel tube station, brings something new to London's otherwise saturated selection of cafes - a wide range of Japanese teas including yuzu teas, sakura (cherry blossom) teas and many others, to be enjoyed by the pot together with a selection of Japanese cakes including matcha tarts, hojicha flavour tiramisu and mochi (rice jelly cakes). They also sell a wide variety of imported sake and japanese whiskey for consumption off the premises, as well as Japanese made tableware and pottery. Note for those visiting, since they haven't updated their Google or FourSquare listings - their opening hours are midday until 7PM every day though they often don't open until a few minutes after midday. Doesn't seem to be any free WiFi either so make sure to bring your own. Follow Katsute100 on Instagram
