MAX IV-Labratoriet
The Max IV laboratory in Lund, which opened in 2016, is the world’s most powerful synchrotron radiation facility. The laboratory is open to researchers from all around the world. The complex comprising around twenty buildings was developed by Fastighets AB ML4 and is jointly owned by Wihlborgs and Peab. LundUniversity leases the facility on a 25-year lease. The advanced research carried out in the laboratory places extremely high technical demands on the building, including vibration damping. Early in the project, it was decided to have a high sustainability focus.
