These [paintings] rely on gesture, internal light, and shape. There is the quatrefoil, rectangles, and squares. Some paintings have a gloss surface from epoxy, others an opaque, matte surface, from the paint itself. The scale relates to the human body, coming from Corbusier's Modular Man. - Max Gimblett, 2019
