Word previously came down that the film halted shooting due to Singer’s ‘unexpected unavailability’. And now the sacking comes after rumours of unscheduled absences and onset arguments between Singer and Freddie Mercury actor Rami Malek (apparently they made-up before Singer went AWOL after Thanksgiving). The studio is now looking for a new director to finish the film. Singer doesn’t appear to be going quietly.
