JUSTICE LEAGUE Gearing Up For 2/3 Months Of Reshoots Under Joss Whedon - Movies In Focus
It looks like the DC Comics Cinematic Universe is now well and truly up and running following the critical and commercial success of Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman ($97 million opening weekend). Next up is November’s Justice League and it looks like that film is still in major flux – and it’s set to have an additional 2 months of additional photography this summer. The mighty Jett at Batman On Film is reporting that Joss Whedon (who has replaced Zack Snyder as director) has regrouped the ‘gang’ (I’m guessing that means Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher and Henry Cavill) for ‘significant’ reshoots. Jett’s source, who is ‘100% vetted and more-than-reliable’, states that the reshoots are ‘expected to take place through June and July, and maybe into August.’ It’s not uncommon for big films to have additional photography during editing, however you can’t deny that eight-plus weeks is a lot of shooting for a film that is mostly in the can – and according to BOF, these are ‘not your standard pick-ups’.
