Get Back: Peter Jackson To Make Documentary About THE BEATLES Album Let It Be - Movies In Focus
Fifty years to the day that The Beatles played their legendary last live gig on the roof of the Apple Corps building in Saville Row comes news that Peter Jackson will make a film based around the shooting of the band’s Let It Be. The as-yet-untitled film will be based on 55 hours of never-released footage of The Beatles, shot for Michael Lindsay-Hogg’s Let It Be, the 1970 release which effectively charted the final days of The Fab Four. Hoggs’ film will also be released in remastered form (finally!). Jackson’s documentary is currently in production and no release date has been announced, but the film is being made with the co-operation of Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono Lennon, and Olivia Harrison.
