Audiences Should Embrace Arnold Schwarzenegger Movies - Not Ignore Them - Movies In Focus
Arnold Schwarzenegger is a legend. He’s an epic cinematic titan who became a box office behemoth in the 1980s and 1990s. He then cast his attention to politics, becoming the governor of California in 2003. Schwarzenegger left office in 2011, returning to acting with The Expendables 2 in 2012, followed by The Last Stand and Escape Plan. The latter two films failed to make an impact at the US box office (despite being rather good) – and Schwarzenegger’s latest film, Sabotage isn’t faring much better (it looks to gross a little over $5 million this weekend). Come on people, embrace Schwarzenegger – he’s getting better at acting and his movies feel fresh (in an old fashioned way) when compared to the plethora of CGI filled superhero films. He fas a few other films in the pipeline (including Terminator Genesis) and he doesn’t deserve to fade away. Kids today don’t care about Schwarzenegger-type action – they’re too interested in video games and gravity defying computer acrobatics.
