Instagramable Moments - July 2013 - Little Observationist
July was a bit of a whirlwind and nicely divided by 10 days in New York in the middle of the month. Here’s a short version, Instagram-style. 1. Bloomsbury Square Gardens. It was sunny, warm verging on hot – like a proper English Summer day. I headed across town to see a few social media speakers give a presentation that I figured out pretty quickly was not for me when one of the first questions was “Everyone knows what YouTube is, right?” followed by the fact that you can share up to 160 characters on Twitter. But hey, it was worth it to sprawl out in Bloomsbury Square Gardens, people watching and catching up on my travel magazines for a few hours before the sun went down. 2. London postcards. The longer I live in London, the more I try to avoid the tourist areas, but sometimes a walk through the lights of Piccadilly Circus can be momentarily enchanting as long as you take the back streets home. This was a postcard display outside of a souvenir shop near Paul on Piccadilly where I stopped to buy tea for a slow walk home. 3. Buffalo International Airport. After a few days at …
