Glover Garden [グラバー園 Gurabāen] If you follow me on Instagram, you’re most likely aware of my fascination with the flowers in Japan. Glover Garden is located in Nagasaki, Japan and was built for Scottish merchant —Thomas Blake Glover ; who contributed to the modernization of Japan in shipbuilding, coal mining, & other fields. The Glover Residence which also happens to be the oldest Western style house surviving in Japan ! The Glover Residence is also known as Ipponmatsu which translates to Single Pine Tree. Why?
