*** Working on a plain white base is recommended if you’re doing this for the first time. To make the process easier, work on flat surface (preferably nothing too laminated/glossy) headphones. In case you’ll be working on a gloss type surface, it’s best if you use a sandpaper to roughen out the base beforehand – this is to enable the paint to adhere better but make sure not to overdo it. Protect areas you won’t be painting on with masking tape (I used washi tape so you can see it better). Use white as base paint. Wait for it to dry for at least 30 minutes to an hour before transferring / sketching your design. Sketch your design guide (I’m using Stabilo HB). *** DecoColor XF paint pen from National Bookstore – used this for the gold accents. Reeves Acrylic Paint also available in National Bookstore. Please note that acrylic paint dries very fast so you may want to work faster than usual to avoid any paint streaks / chunks from showing. Use Faber Castell Multimark permanent pens (National Bookstore) for details and outlining once you’re done painting. Don’t forget to let your paint dry completely! S or F point marker …
