Hawaii Volcano Eruption ‘Possible’ After Hundreds of Earthquakes Hit Island
HAWAII -- Hundreds of small earthquakes in Hawaii are shaking the eastern side of Big Island, prompting concerns that Kilauea Volcano could erupt. On Thursday, a civil defense statement said that the frequency of the minor earthquakes had decreased, compared to the preceding days. However, the agency added, the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory has indicated that a volcanic eruption was "possible but not imminent."
