As Mumps Outbreak Grows at Temple University, There’s a ‘Strong Recommendation’ for Vaccine
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- Temple University in Philadelphia has reported 74 cases of mumps in an outbreak that began last month, according to a notification sent to the university community on Thursday. Mark Denys, director of student and employee health services, said 15 of those cases are confirmed and 59 are probable. Forty-six of those cases have been identified in the last eight days.
