Legal Reaction to U.S. Justice Department’s Investigation of Alleged Child Sex Abuse in Roman Catholic Churches in Pennsylvania
LACKAWANNA COUNTY, Pa. -- The U.S. Department of Justice is now investigating alleged child sexual abuse inside Roman Catholic dioceses across Pennsylvania. The investigation follows a scathing report issued in August by a state grand jury. The report alleged that more than 300 predator priests abused more than 1,000 children in the Commonwealth over several decades.
