Man Sentenced for Fatal Ames Shooting Says He’s Innocent
NEVADA, Iowa -- A 34-year-old Boone man is heading to prison for killing his friend in 2013. A Story County Judge sentenced Leigh Lepon to 50 years behind bars on Monday. Lepon was convicted of second-degree murder in the 2013 death of 38-year-old Devlin Lockman in Ames. Police said Lockman died from a single gunshot wound to the head.
