Central and Southern Iowa See High Rainfall Totals
Heavy rain fell across parts of Central and Southern Iowa early Monday morning. The storms developed in southwest Iowa and continued to fill in through Central and Southeastern Iowa through early in the day. Southwest Iowa had the highest rainfall totals. That is where heavy bands of rain persisted throughout the night. One of the highest totals included 5.2” of rain in Bedford in Taylor County. A Flash Flood Watch was in effect through the night and early morning. Flash Flood Warnings were issued for Taylor, Adams, Union, and Ringgold Counties through mid morning.
