Half Of Iowa Crops Mature
Statewide, there were only three days good for fieldwork this last week but farmers in east central and southeast Iowa had more than five days. You can see harvest happening sporadically across the state, but for the most part, farmers are waiting for dry weather to clear up the crops. According to the Iowa Crop Progress report, only about half of corn is mature, three days ahead of last year. Although central, east central, and southeast crops are in the mid 60%. Corn conditions are still 83% good or excellent.
