Law Enforcement Officers Helping Hungry Iowans
DES MOINES, Iowa -- Some officers want to make sure Iowans have enough to eat during the holiday -- and every day. The "Arresting Hunger" event began last year, when a State Trooper decided to collect money to donate food in all of Iowa's 99 counties. “You don't know those families out there that are food insecure and when you show up at their doorsteps and the people are elated that you’ve taken the time to do this, it's just really rewarding,” said Sgt. Nathan Ludwig.
