Storms Snap Trees, Bring Down Power Lines in Northern Iowa
Strong thunderstorms barreled across areas north of the metro Tuesday, producing damaging winds and heavy rain. Wind gusts reached 72.5 mph in Estherville. Across Emmet County, hail nearly an inch in diameter fell. In Bremer County, downed trees and power lines were reported across town.
