Everett High School closed Tuesday due to flooding from rain storm
EVERETT, Wash. -- Everett High School will be closed Tuesday, Sept. 10 after flooding from Monday's rain storm. Crews will be working Tuesday to clear water from classrooms. The flooding was caused by two torrential downpours that happened in Snohomish County, with more than two inches of rain falling in a short period of time. Screen captures of the radar at the time show heavy downpours that kept forming and holding over downtown Everett. Most of the rain fell between 12:15p and 1:30pm. The areas in yellow indicate a rain rate of about 1/2 inch per hour. The areas in orange, indicate a rain rate of about 1 inch per hour.
