Magnitude 4.2 quake on Kitsap Peninsula felt widely across region
SEATTLE -- A magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck just after 9 p.m. Wednesday about 9 miles west-northwest of Belfair, the U.S. Geological Survey said. People from Port Orchard to Lacey and Tumwater reported feeling the quake. No damage was reported, Kitsap County Dispatch said, and the Mason County Sheriff's Office posted the following tweet:
