First Boeing 727 to fly again — from Everett to Museum of Flight for permanent exhibition
SEATTLE -- A historic airplane is gearing up for its final flight. The Museum of Flight is in the final countdown of finishing a 25-year effort to restore the first Boeing 727 and flying it to the museum for permanent exhibition. The jet hasn't flown since it was donated to the museum in 1991. Crews have been working on it ever since at Paine Field in Everett.
