Grandfather builds new cross for murder victim after original is stolen
KENT, Wash. -- A grandfather in Kent is still coping with the loss and unsolved murder of his granddaughter, Amarah Riley, who was shot to death in her car last year -- and now -- he's feeling new pain after the cross he built in her memory was stolen. So, Dale Riley built a new cross for Amarah, who would have turned 23 years old on Mother's Day. On Monday, he placed the cross at the scene where she was murdered on Rainier Ave. S. last September. "I'm happy about doing this. I'd make 100's of them. That's not going to deter me from having something here for my grandaughter," said Riley.
