Plastic bag ban? Tacoma considers ‘Bring your own bag’ ordinance
TACOMA - The Tacoma City Council is considering a plastic bag ban at stores and businesses. Under the “Bring your own bag” proposal, only recycled paper or reusable bags would be allowed, but they would cost customers at least five cents. Supporters say the measure reduces litter and waste in the landfill. It also encourages shoppers to bring reusable bags.
