Big fire burns at rural Weld County oil site
WELD COUNTY, Colo. -- Firefighters responding to a fire at an oil site in rural Weld County that burned for hours Tuesday afternoon. Weld County Sheriff's Office dispatchers said the fire is at Weld County Roads 30 and 47.5. According to Weld County records, the site is owned by Noble Energy. Jolene Schneider with the Platteville-Gilcrest Fire Protection District said the fire was reported at 1:45 p.m. 3,000 gallons of diesel are burning. No injuries were reported. The Weld County Sheriff's Office said the fire was extinguished before 4:30 p.m.
