Nanny struck by car after saving toddler from oncoming vehicle
LOS ANGELES -- A fundraising page has been created to help a California nanny who is credited with saving a 2-year-old boy's life after putting herself directly in the path of an oncoming vehicle that sped through a stop sign, according to KTLA. The incident took place on March 28 when Caroline Maurer was taking the toddler for a walk in his stroller in Atwater Village, a neighborhood in Los Angeles.
