Rock band makes bullied girl’s dream come true
Tears rolled down Nanae Munemasa's face in a studio full of people, but not the type of tears she's used to crying. These were tears of joy, disbelief, and a little bit of sadness that time was almost up on a dream that recently became, briefly, her reality. In September, 17-year-old Munemasa spoke to CNN about being bullied in her home country of Japan. It was so severe that she contemplated taking her own life. Munemasa is not alone: Japan's suicide prevention office observed, over more than 40 years, that more Japanese youth commit suicide on September 1 than on any other date. "When summer ends, you have to go back (to school). And once you start worrying about getting bullied, committing suicide might be possible," Munemasa said.
