Woman gets 14 ½ years in prison for Colorado Springs Army veteran’s death
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A woman has been sentenced to 14 ½ years in prison for her role in the fatal shooting of an Army veteran in Colorado Springs. The Gazette reports 25-year-old Lakela Brasfield was sentenced Wednesday for the May 3 death of 22-year-old Dionte Harris. She struck a deal with prosecutors and pleaded guilty in January to reckless manslaughter and accessory to murder.
