Grass fire burns southwest of Horsetooth Reservoir in Larimer County
LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. -- A grass fire burned above Bobcat Ridge Natural Area southwest of Horsetooth Reservoir on Thursday night. The fire quickly doubled in size and grew to 20-25 acres, Loveland Fire Rescue said. No home were threatened and no injuries were reported. Winds gusting to 60 mph and difficult access made fighting the fire difficult, Loveland Rural Fire Protection District said. The closest road for crews to access was Powerline Road in Loveland.
