New York would become first state to fully decriminalize sex work under new bill
ALBANY, N.Y. -- A new bill introduced to New York state lawmakers Monday seeks to fully legalize sex work and eliminate previous criminal records related to most sex work charges. If passed, it would make New York the first state to fully decriminalize sex work, according to WPIX. The bill was introduced in the New York Senate by Sens. Jessica Ramos and Julia Salazar, while advocacy group Decrim NY, which helped write the bill, introduced the legislation at the New York State Assembly.
