High Chateau Fire in Teller County 95 percent contained, mandatory evacuation orders lifted
TELLER COUNTY, Colo. -- Officials have lifted mandatory evacuation orders for the High Chateau Fire burning in Teller County in the mountains west of Colorado Springs. As of Saturday evening, the fire had burned 1,423 acres, according to authorities. Officials in neighboring Park County earlier estimated acreage at 1,500.
